Learning pathways for school students

School-based apprenticeships

A school-based apprenticeship is a great way for secondary students aged 15 or over to start an apprenticeship while they are still at school.

As a school-based apprentice, you will continue your secondary studies, spend part of your week working with an employer and some of your school time studying at CIT. This means you can start your future career earlier and earn while you learn.

These courses provide an opportunity for you to gain experience in a particular field of study or to sample different fields to discover where your interests lie. Accredited short courses may also provide credit for further studies at CIT.

Career expos

涩里番is an exhibitor at the Canberra Careers XPO, held annually in August. In addition, we welcome opportunities to attend secondary school career expos and information days in the ACT and surrounding regions.
