This course provides introductory knowledge and skills for those working in a broad range of industries who as part of their job role engage in cyber security threat assessments and protection against cyber security risk .
You will apply a broad set of skills and knowledge to assist an organisation improve cyber threat awareness and protect against cyber risk across a broad range of industries.
To achieve BSBSS00094 Cyber Security Awareness Skill Set you will need to complete the following units:
- BSBXCS301 Protect own personal online profile from cyber security threats
- BSBXCS302 Identify and report online security threats.
- BSBXCS303 Securely manage personally identifiable information and workplace information
- BSBXCS402 Promote workplace cyber security awareness and best practices.

Duration: |
Training will be undertaken face to face in CIT’s specialised Cyber laboratory and Training Security Operation Centre (TSOC) at the ɬÀï·¬Reid campus. Training will be completed over 17 weeks (17 days) for a total of 51 hours. There is the expectation that you will complete up to 68 hours of independent additional study and assessment preparation. |

Literacy Skills Information
We suggest that you will need Australian Core Skills Framework literacy levels of at least 3 across reading, writing, learning, oral communication and, depending on your course of study, numeracy skills to successfully complete this course.
